Egypt's Islamist president flew to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. It was the start of his first foreign trip and underscored the traditional ties between the regional powerhouses.
Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood left in the middle of a showdown with Egypt's generals over the fate of the country's dissolved parliament.
