Federal workers' unions critical of pay freeze extension

This week, President Obama told Congress he will extend a two year pay freeze for federal workers until at least next spring. The campaign made it difficult to reach a long-range agreement before October -- the start of fiscal 2013.
In a letter to Congressional leadership Obama wrote, "Government must maintain efforts to keep our nation on a sustainable fiscal course." Obama estimates the freeze will save taxpayers more than $60 billion.
William Dougan, president of the National Federation of Federal Employees, discussed the freeze on Capital Insider.
