I missed out on doing "Know the Foe" last week. I had planned to write it on the train to New York from Union Station on the day of the Jets game. All I had to do first was get past this one little conference call by the Nationals.

Oops.

However, we can still close the preseason on a high note. Follow me below the jump to find out more about this preseason's final opponents, the Arizona Cardinals.

And don't forget to check out Mike Jones's breakdown of important players to watch for the Redskins tonight.

Washington Redskins at Arizona Cardinals

When: Tonight. Where: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ.

Time: 10:00 p.m.

TV: NBC-4/Comcast SportsNet Radio: WTEM 980

Line: Arizona by 5.5

On the shelf: No one is officially listed on the Cardinals injury report. The only player listed on the Redskins is Mike Furrey, who has been placed on season-ending IR with a concussion.

About Arizona: Beginning their second season since their surprise Super Bowl appearance, the Cardinals are a team in flux. That flux has been brought home over the last few days, as the team is slowly beginning to realize that Matt Leinart might not be the answer they've been looking for under center after the retirement of Kurt Warner.

Those impressions seem to be backed up by Arizona's struggles on offense this preseason. After averaging 23.4 points last season behind Warner (11th of 32 teams), the Cardinals were only scoring a measly 14.3 points per game over three preseason games (tied for 25th of 32 teams). Cue the substitution of Derek Anderson for Leinart (Anderson should get the start tonight, by the way) and cue Leinart's complaints about the situation.

While the offense goes through its painful changes, the Cardinals are looking to reinvent themselves on defense, where they gave up 20.3 points per game last season (tied for 18th-most in the league), and recorded the 6th-most sacks in the NFL with 43. They're looking to the newly-added Joey Porter to bolster the run defense, while draft picks Dan Williams and Daryl Washington are expected to bolster the run defense, which allowed a generous 107.3 yards per game.

What to watch and who to watch for: No one, to be perfectly honest. It's the final preseason game of the year, and the starters are only likely to play one series at most. So pick your favorite long-shot prospect and cheer him on. Lord knows, he needs all the support he can get.
