FAA Shutdown; Hot dogs vs cigarettes and Redskins' quarterback battle
Thursday on NewsTalk, Jennifer Donelan began the hour with the head of the Greater Washington Board of Trade Jim Dinegar. They discussed the DC budget, the debt ceiling and the board's new consumer confidence report.
Then Dan Elwell, Vice President of Civil Aviation for the Aerospace Industries Association (and former FAA environment chief) talked about the FAA furloughs and agency shutdown amd how it impacts passengers.

Also, Susan Levin, Director of Nutrition for Physicians Committed for Responsible Medicine, examined the health study out that warns people against processed meat like hot dogs. A new billboard says hot dogs are more dangerous than cigarettes.
Last, Cindy Boren, sports editor for the Washington Post joined Jennifer from the Post camera in northwest DC. The two analyzed the quarterback battle brewing with the Redskins: John Beck vs. Rex Grossman.
