Cain controversy; Gray report is out; Candy calories
Today on NewsTalk, we looked at Herman Cain’s handling of the controversy that is now dogging his presidential campaign. As Politico first reported, a woman who worked with Cain at the National Restaurant Association alleges that he sexually harassed her. Cain denies wrongdoing, though his campaign has been criticized for giving inconsistent responses to questions about whether a settlement ever occurred. It’s the first major crisis for the Cain team, which has unexpectedly found itself atop recent presidential primary polls. Our panel today included David Mark of Politico, ABC 7 reporter Scott Thuman (who attended yesterday’s Cain event at the Press Club) and Adam Tragone of Human Events.
WAMU reporter Patrick Madden discussed the just-released report into allegations Sulaimon Brown leveled at Vincent Gray following last year’s mayor’s race in the District.
And fitness expert Josef Brandenburg talked about why anyone seriously concerned about their weight should consider throwing out their Halloween candy.
