Today on NewsTalk, we discussed the new plan that the region’s leaders have devised for avoiding massive gridlock when unexpected events occur. Our guests: Montgomery County Councilman Phil Andrews and Millicent West, head of the Homeland Security/Emergency Management Agency in the District.
ABC 7 Sports Director Tim Brant shared his thoughts on Penn State’s firing of coach Joe Paterno. Tim has known Paterno a long time ago; we highly recommend your checking out this interview. It starts about 19 minutes into the hour. We also talked about the NBA lockout and the kidnapping of Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos.
And in our last segment, state Senator-elect Dick Black talked about the possible GOP takeover of the Virginia Senate. In the interview, which starts about 45 minutes into the show, Black says residents of Virginia want – and can expect – more conservative policies coming out of the legislature.
