Today on NewsTalk, former DC Attorney General Peter Nickles talked about former Councilman Harry Thomas Jr., who gets sentenced this week following his admission that he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in city funds. We also discussed controversial comments – perceived by some as immigrant-bashing – made by Councilman Marion Barry.
Scott Hancock, head of the Maryland Municipal League, talked about the legislature’s failure to adopt a key budget bill, a failure that has made it difficult for local government leaders to plan for the new fiscal year.
