A Maryland work group's decision no to expand gambling in the state was a hot topic on today's show. We spoke with Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot about the decision.
And, summer kicked off with a bang with today's steamy weather. Meteorologist Brian Van de Graaff talked about the scorching temperatures and offered some tips on how to stay cool.
In our second half hour, we talked with Dr. Libby Kelly about the Lone Star Tick. A bite from the insect can last for weeks and cause an allergic reaction to certain types of meat. More than 1,000 cases have been reported in Virginia.
