Just as the region is recovering from the Justin Bieber concert at the Maryland State Fairgrounds this weekend, here comes Lady Gaga, who will undoubtedly incite similar frenzy at the Verizon Center when she performs there tonight. Her little monsters are already planning out their outfits and preparing their fingers to launch a flurry of tweets wRiTTen liKe tHIs.

If you were already on the road headed out of town on Thursday, you might have missed news of the fire at the Phillips Collection. The Phillips House, where the fire was, will remain closed until further notice, but the galleries reopened on Saturday and the museum announced free admission for the month of September.

The New York Times took a look at the fall book schedule yesterday, and the upcoming releases include a slew of music titles, including Frank: The Voice a Frank Sinatra biography, Decoded, a Jay-Z/Dream Hampton collaboration based on the rapper's lyrics, and the hotly anticipated Keith Richards memoir, Life. If the absolutely terrifying cover image is any indication, the Rolling Stones guitarist has a real page-turner on his hands. Readers will also be treated to works from Ricky Martin, Rick Springfield (?), Susan Boyle and Bret Michaels this fall.

Finally, Trey Songz was at Constitution Hall on Saturday night and, as predicted, the abtastic Virginia crooner made everyone forget that Monica was even there. Chris Klimek of the Washington Post reviewed the show, and wrote, "In the post-R. Kelly R&B carnality arms race (or is it an abs race?), 25-year-old Petersburg, Va., native Trey Songz is in little danger of being outgunned."

AGREED.
