A much nicer picture of Brown than any of the cameraphone flicks snapped yesterday. (publicity photo, credit James Hilsdon)

Halftime shows at Redskins games aren't televised, which is not so much of a big deal when the featured entertainment is Michaele Salahi cheering, but is a very big deal when the halftime performer is, as it was this Sunday, the Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown.

Brown's manager, Tom Goldfogle, says he has requested footage of Brown's half-time performance, which should be available in about a week. Fan site Redskins Rule!, a reliable source of non-sucky halftime show video, has posted Brown's rehearsal, and has a nice still photo slideshow set to "Bustin' Loose," but hasn't posted any footage from Brown's Sunday performance yet.

So, for now, the best way to get a sense of the show, if you weren't at FedEx field yesterday, is to cobble together amateur footage.

Shaky Twitvid footage of Brown performing, from garygall:

The sound isn't horrible--it's clear Chuck is performing "Chuck Baby" featuring his daughter, KK, and "Bustin' Loose," among other songs. And while it's impossible to make him out on the field, check the Jumbotron on the right side of the frame for a halfway decent look at Chuck, decked out in his burgundy and gold best, rocking the crowd.

Nothing *but* Jumbotron footage (and some dude in a Portis jersey) from YouTube user dccongopimp:

"DC Congo Pimp" didn't even attempt to shoot the field, he just went with shots of the nearest big screen. The strategy worked for him—the footage gives a (kinda sorta) clear picture of the show.

AMAZING zoom-in shots from YouTube user CanonHielHD:

This footage stars off less-than-promising—the shooter looks to be in one of the top tiers and the folks on the field appear flea-sized—until the operator zooms in, getting impressively tight shots of Brown walking onto the field and playing with his band. Score.
