Outside of the Lady Gaga show at the Verizon Center last night there were scads of little monsters in "full dress," Gaga's term for elaborate head-to-toe costuming.

There were people wrapped in caution tape, wearing cigarette-covered shades and soda can hair rollers, and, of course, buckets upon buckets of body glitter.

But one fan in particular got a lot of attention for her getup, and even received applause from the masses waiting in line to get inside the venue: Claire Stanchfield who wore a version of Lady Gaga's Hello Kitty dress.

The Germantown, Md., teenager had help putting together the eye-catching garment — her mom, Nancy Darrow, created the piece.

"It took me two weeks to do," says Darrow, who did not attend the concert but waited outside Verizon until her daughter made it inside. The dress consisted of a couple dozen Hello Kitty dolls, many of which Darrow made herself, by cutting out kittens from fabric and stuffing them before affixing them to the dress.

"I gave her what she wanted, but I had to take charge," Darrow says. "It was a little bit like Project Runway, I was like, 'I can't lose my vision!'"
