Countdown to Arena Stage: The Bel Air Bantam sewing machine

The Arena Stage may be shiny and new, but this Bel Air Bantam sewing machine is as old as the theater company, which got its start in the 1950s. The Bantam is used here for costumes for the theater's season-opener, Oklahoma!, and it's one of dozens of machines in the costume shop. All of Arena's costumes are made in-house.
