New York Fashion Week: TBD's Lisa Rowan talks about dude clothes on News Channel 8
Lisa Rowan is in New York for Fashion Week. From the extremely cozy confines of her hotel room, she's written about stuff I sort of vaguely understand: A designer, or maybe a building, called Eggcream (adding to my confusion, egg creams are served there), a report on an "emotional journey thru Virtualand," and a mid-week report on some of the trends she likes and dislikes.
But yesterday afternoon on the recently rechristened News Channel 8, she let loose a performance that caused the 4:30 show's anchor, Morris Jones, to come over to my desk raving about how wonderful she was. This hardly ever happens, which is not a reflection on Morris Jones but an indictment of my tenure as arts editor, during which I have not caused Morris to come over here happy nearly enough. Morris said we had to get this clip, in which Lisa gives him some ideas for looks he could rock on the air, up on the Web, and I have to agree with him. (Also if he wears the camel overcoat she suggests, especially in the style the model shown wears it, I will fire a flare gun over Freedom Park in celebration.)
Video after the jump.
