TBD Picks: House of Pain at 9:30 Club

There was a brief moment, in the 1990s, when there was a spate of pretty decent Irish rappers. When it comes to Irish-American rappers, however, there has been only one success story, if you can call it that: House of Pain. Rapper Everlast, along with Danny Boy, and DJ Lethal, recorded three albums in the ‘90s, and even had a bona fide hit with “Jump Around,” but eventually ran off to one-hit-wonderland. Now, the men are reuniting, recording a new album and touring, much to the delight of the handful of people who enjoy aggressive hip-hop with a dubious Celtic connection.
