The rap group Cali Swag District may be from Inglewood, Calif., but its breakout hit, "Teach Me How to Dougie" has a special place in the hearts of Washingtonians, in large part because it has become the unofficial team song/dance of the Washington Wizards. Well, one Wizard: Point guard John Wall.

This morning, the sad news that Cali Swag District member M-Bone (Manté Talbert) was killed in senseless act of violence on Sunday night rocked Inglewood, the music community, and, of course, Talbert's family and friends.   But, today is also (to a much lesser degree), a sad day for the Wizards. M-Bone and Co.'s signature song and dance was a bright spot in the team's season.

While Talbert's death is obviously horrible, the music he made with CSD was designed to get people to laugh, dance, and have a good time, and no one has been better at doing that than Wall. Here are a few important moments in Wall's strategic campaign to teach Washington (and the world) how to Dougie. And here's hoping he kicks off the 2011-2012 Wizards home opener season with a huge tribute to M-Bone.

1) John Wall's inaugural Dougie.

The Dougie that started it all: Home opener, November 2010.

In a Washington Post profile of Wall that ran a couple days after game, Wall's teammate Andrae Blatch is quoted as giving Wall what could be the best piece of career advice he'll ever receive: "I told him, 'If you do that, we better get this win.' You can't Dougie out and then you lose."

2) Chris Brown and John Wall: Dougie battle.

Yes, Chris Brown is probably, with the possible exceptions of Justin Timberlake and Usher, one of the best dancers of his generation. But he ain't messin' with John Wall's Dougie. At Love, for a 2011 New Year's Eve party, Wall and the troubled pop star engaged in an epic Dougie battle.

3) Wall does the Dougie in his spare time, too.

The world learns that Wall's Dougie isn't just something he does when he wants to show off, it's something he does ALL THE TIME, when he is spotted executing the moves at a Hampton/Howard game in March.

4) Ted Leonsis says he'll do the Dougie if the Wizards have a sellout season.

Yeah, so that didn't happen, but Wizards owner Ted Leonisis did break out a few Dougie moves for WTOP in November.

5) Wolf Blitzer does the Dougie at the Soul Train Awards

The D.C. area-based CNN anchor says he knows the dance from watching Wall do it.

5) Charles Barkley shows you how to Dougie, C-Webb trash-talks Wall's version

Barkelely shows TNT vieweds how to Dougie. Co-commentator Chris Webber goes crazy with joy after seeing Barkley do the dance, and calls out Wall: "John Wall you can't Dougie--show 'em how to Dougie, Chuck!"
