Befriend a GWU student, see Girl Talk for free
Campus concerts at George Washington University (unlike at, say, Howard University) are, more often than not, for students only. So, it's no big surprise that the school's 2011 Fall Fest is closed to the public.
The annual festival will take place on Sept. 4 on the University Yard, and, as the GW Hatchet reported this morning, Girl Talk will be the headliner this year.
Although the event is technically a perk intended only for those who are paying the institution's soul-crushing tuition, the George Washington University Program Board, organizers of the event, say there is a loophole: Each student is permitted to bring one non-student guest to the event. Or, if you don't know any G.W. students who'd be willing to get you in, you can always wait for the inevitable Craigslist offers, or just hang out on 21st Street, NW, the day of the show—you should be able to hear just fine.
