I'm with Fenty all day , everyday because as a resident of Ward 8 I see the change. When did any community East of the River get new libraries, schools, rec centers, grocery stores, and even sit down restaurants? Remember when the South Capitol Massacres occurred in March 2010? I used to live at that same building but moved in January, 2010, two months prior to the tragedy. So to live in a city that can boast the lowest crime rate in the nation and the lowest crime rate DC has experienced in the past 40 years is not just a talking point for me. Mayor Fenty is not afraid to make tough decisions even during election time. If you like throw your money away than go with Gray and he with do with your dollars what he did with DHS in the 1990's, right down the drain. Now fact check that!

Mayor Fenty is admired for his ability to make tough decisions even when conflicting viewpoints are presented. No one is perfect but Fenty said he would improved our schools and he did, he said he give every ward economic development and he did. In regards to the homeless, Fenty housed 1000 in just 3.5 yrs, and have created or maintained over 11,000 affordable units. For Seniors, DC has doubled the number of wellness centers, increased meals, wheelchair accessible vans, and created a new one stop resource center for the elderly. I live East of River and in the last 20 years, Ward 8 has not had any new libraries, schools, recreation facilities, grocery stores, or even sit down restaurants until now. I even used to live at the same building where the South Capitol Street massacres occurred in March 2010, until January 2010. To live in a city that boast the lowest crime rate in the nation currently and the lowest DC has experienced in the past 40 years is not just a talking point to me. Fenty all day everyday. Like Bruce, the moderator said, with all that DC has experienced, why take a risk? If you have money to throw away that go with Gray so he can do DC just like he did in 1990's when DHS and the entire DC government went into federal receivership.......

Mayor Fenty why did you go against the wishes of the local council member and residents in Tenleytown and try to push for a condo on top of school and library property? Are you not an employee of the people and have to listen to us? Are we not the boss?
