The big stick bandit is still at large.

That's according to Manassas City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann, who says no arrests have been made in the case involving a robber who used a giant stick as a weapon.

"No," Neumann says. "We have nothing right now. No leads, no suspects at this point."

Police say the robber entered the Manassas store shortly after it opened on Tuesday morning. He threatened the 58-year-old clerk with a big stick from across the counter.

The clerk pulled out a hammer to defend himself, but the robber still managed to attack. He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities say they are looking for a male suspect who is about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, white gloves and jeans at the time of the robbery.
