UPDATE 9:01 a.m.: P Street is also closed between 13th and 15th streets, Twitter reports say. DC Circulator has reportedly cut off service on 14th Street below the U Street stop.

TBD has learned that 14th Street is blocked between Rhode Island Avenue and Q Street in Northwest as police investigate a suspicious package reported in the area. 

TBD’s Erik Wemple says large backups are forming on 14th Street as a result of the closure.
