Maryland State police report that a vehicle is on fire on southbound Interstate 270 near Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg. No injuries have been reported.

NewsChopper 7 captured images of the car, engulfed in a huge cloud of white smoke, located on the southbound side of I-270 just before Montgomery Village Avenue.

The two right lanes are blocked and traffic is getting by to the left.

There are major delays in the area, beginning at Father Hurley Boulevard out of Germantown, ABC7’s Lisa Baden reports.
