Update, Nov. 23, 8:45 a.m.: The Washington Post reports that D.C. police have arrested Carl Purvis, 45, of Capitol Heights, and charged him with first-degree murder while armed.

Police say 28-year-old Gregory Joyner was shot several times Monday night. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
