A toddler appears to have been thrown off a walkway connecting a parking garage to Tysons Corner Center, sources tell ABC 7 News. The 2-year-old girl sustained life-threatening injuries, police say.

It happened around 7:15 p.m. at Garage E near the intersection of Fashion Boulevard and Ring Road. The garage is located between a Coastal Flats restaurant and Lord & Taylor. The walkway is about four stories off the ground.

The child was in the custody of a "caretaker" at the time, police sources tell ABC 7. Sources say an adult female family member has been taken into custody.
