One car wash employee was killed and another was critically injured when they were run over by a vehicle driven by a third worker Wednesday evening, a Montgomery County police spokesperson said.

It happened at the Flagship Car Wash on Hungerford Drive in Rockville.

Cpl. Dan Friz said both employees were pinned underneath the vehicle.

The surviving employee was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Friz said.

The circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately known.
