A strange and pungent odor led people to summon D.C. Fire and EMS to the Metropolitan Club in downtown on Friday.

The source of the odor is unclear.

Medics evaluated four or five people, a spokesperson said. One person was taken to a hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

The club is located in the 1700 block of H St. NW.
