D.C. police say a male was hit by a vehicle in Northwest early Thursday morning. There's no word on his condition at this time.

It happened at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street, NW.

The striking vehicle remained on the scene.

DC Fire and EMS is assisting.
