UPDATE, 12:18 p.m.: DDOT reports this suspicious package has been cleared by authorities and K and L streets are reopening.

ORIGINAL POST: D.C. police are investigating a suspicious package in the 1400 block of K Street, NW, the Secret Service said.

Authorities have set up a perimeter in the area and K Street is closed to all traffic.

The Secret Service is assisting with the investigation.
