Prince George's Police have reported the eighth homicide in the county in the first eight days of 2011.

Responding to a call at 8:03 Saturday morning, police discovered a man lying in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 1400 block of University Boulevard in Hyattsville.

The man was taken to a local hospital and prounounced dead a short time later.

Police are investigating and more information will be released as it becomes available.
