Pedestrian struck in Fairfax

UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: The victim has non-life threatening injuries, police report.

A man was struck by a vehicle in Fairfax early Monday morning.

Police responded to the 6100 block of Leesburg Pike around 12:45 a.m. for reports of a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from trauma to the head and upper body. There's no word on his condition at this time.

The striking vehicle remained on the scene, police say. It's still unclear if any charges will be filed against the driver.
