UPDATE 9:40 a.m.: Central Avenue has been reopened. 

UPDATE 5:47 a.m.: The victim is a male, according to Maryland State Police. He is reportedly in stable condition.

Prince George's police reports a pedestrian was struck in Hyattsville.

It happened on Central Avenue near the Beltway around 4 a.m. Monday.

All eastbound lanes of Central Avenue are also blocked, ABC7's Lisa Baden reports.

Maryland State Police and the fire department are on the scene.
