A man accused of stabbing his brother to death in Adams Morgan pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of voluntary manslaughter while armed.
Deon Thornton, 21, of Washington, pleaded guilty in District Superior Court. He is set to be sentenced on April 29 and faces u to 30 years behind bars.
Authorities said Thornton lived with his brother, Derrick Thornton, in an apartment on the 2200 block of Champlain Street NW. The pair were drinking alcohol on the night of Feb. 11 and got into a fight.
At the plea hearing, Thornton admitted that he stabbed his brother multiple times in the chest.
