D.C. police are investigating a hit-and-run accident, involving multiple vehicles, in Northeast that left three people hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries.
DC Fire responded to the scene at the intersection of Rhode Island Avenue and Eastern Avenue around 2:50 a.m. Monday near the D.C.-Prince George's County border.
A car struck another vehicle almost head-on at a high speed, D.C. police say. That crash caused another car to hit another vehicle, then the initial striking vehicle fled into Prince George’s County.
Three people were taken to Medstar. Police say one of the victims, a woman, has life-threatening injuries. The conditions of the other two are unknown.
D.C. police are looking for the striking vehicle.
