D.C. police have cancelled an Amber Alert issued for a 2-year-old boy and a 10-month-old girl kidnapped by their father, after the children were found safe in Northeast early Friday morning.
Authorities say the children were located in the 1800 block of Kendall Street NE. After being evaluated at a local hospital, the children were said to be unharmed.
The father, Robert Anthony Anderson II, 22, was arrested without incident. He is charged with kidnapping while armed and felony threats.

Police say Anderson abducted his two children, Robert Anthony Anderson III, 2, and Tiara Imani Anderson, 10 months, from the 2300 block of 15th Street NE sometime Thursday afternoon. Anderson was believed to be armed and wearing a bullet proof vest.
