Capitol Heights drive-by shooting leaves one dead

Update 5:45 p.m.: Police identified the victim of the shooting as Brian Vincent Cooper, 20, of the 130 block of Ivanhoe Street, in SW D.C.

Police said he was a patron of the MSG Night Club earlier in the evening. where there was an altercation.

Original: Prince George’s County police are investigating a fatal drive-by shooting at a gas station in Capitol Heights.

Around 3:21 a.m. Monday, police responded to a Shell gas station near Central Avenue and Ritchie Road for reports of a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Prince George's Hospital.
