Police report 3 separate homicides overnight in D.C.

Update, Saturday, 4:45 p.m.: Detectives announced an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 4700 block of B Street, SE.

On Saturday, at approximately 11:30 a.m. police arrested 26-year-old Ronald G. Pickett of Southeast, DC and charged him with Murder Two While Armed.

They also identified the victim as 36-year-old Vanessa McGee of Southeast, D.C.

Original story: D.C. Police report that two women and one man were killed overnight in three different locations.

Shortly after 11:50 p.m., Friday, police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE, to investigate the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, they located an adult female inside a residence who had been stabbed to death.

She has been identified as Selina J. Knight. 36, of Southeast, D.C.

Shortly before 3:25 a.m., Saturday, an adult female was shot and killed in the 4700 block of B Street SE. Her body was found inside of a residence. She was not identified.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Saturday, police found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE.

Henry Kelly, 20, of Southeast was pronounced dead by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
