A Maryland man pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court to distributing child pornography.
Christopher Medovich, 28, of Hancock, Md. faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Court documents say that an undercover member of the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force communicated with Medovich on August 18, 2010 through e-mail and instant messenger.
During their chat, Medovich, a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, sent the agent eight images of child pornography. He was on active duty in Kuwait and Iraq when he sent the images.
A search of his Hancock home uncovered 64 more images on a computer. He was arrested December 15.
Medovich will be sentenced on July 19.
