A New Market man was arrested and charged with DWI after crashing a car into two houses early Monday morning, Frederick County Police say.

Authorities say that Clark John Mueller, 22, of New Market, is also facing charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision and driving too fast for road conditions.

Officers responded to the 400 block of W. Patrick Street in Frederick, where they found that Mueller's car had left the roadway, struck two houses and was wedged between a house and telephone poll. One house sustained significant damage, as did the vehicle.

Mueller was not injured in the crash.
