D.C. police say a juvenile was fatally shot in Southeast overnight.
It happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Congress Street.
Police say the male victim was shot multiple times. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have no motive nor a lookout in the shooting.
Minister R. Joyce Scott, a Ward 8 pastor, will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Friday in response to the homicide.
Scott’s two grandsons were shot at the same spot and her grandson Brian Scott was killed in 2011. He was D.C.’s first homicide of the year.
Former Ward 8 City Council member Sandy Allen also had as grandson who was slain at the same location in several years ago.
