Man shot in suspected botched robbery in Northeast

D.C. Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting in Northeast D.C. early Friday morning.
Police believe that the shooting at an Exxon gas station at 5571 South Dakota Ave. NE is a robbery gone bad. They say the victim was shot on Chillum Place NE, just up the road from the station.
The victim says that a man, dressed in all black and wearing a mask, pulled a gun on him and attempted to rob him. When the victim tried to flee, he was shot in the leg and foot.
Police have no motives or suspects.
