A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Forestville late Friday night.

Prince George's County Police say that officers responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Donnell Drive just before midnight to find a female lying in the road.

She was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The striking vehicle remained on the scene and police are investigating.
