Several passengers were stuck in the Clarendon Boulevard elevator at the Courthouse Metro station during this morning's storm.

The storm, which hit around 7:30 a.m. and tore through the area with little warning, has snarled up the commute in various parts of the D.C. metro area.

Arlington County Fire Department responded to the scene and released the passengers from the elevator around 8:15 a.m. No one was injured.
