Coming Nov. 16 to Columbia Heights

Various staff meetings prevented me from making it to Ward 1 D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham's press conference at DCUSA this morning, which we previewed on Tuesday. But the Washington Business Journal's Missy Frederick was in attendance, and verifies that my hunch was right: The new tenant announcement was actually just a formal projected opening date for D.C.'s second IHOP, which just about everyone in Columbia Heights has known was coming for months now.

What we do have, courtesy Frederick, is a specific date: Tuesday, Nov. 16. So, mark your calendars, pancake lovers.
