Product: Just Ducky Floating Tea Infuser by RSVP International.

Cost: $10 plus tax

Available at: Now and Then, 6927 Laurel Ave., Takoma Park

Why you might want it: You like loose leaf tea — tea bags are for the lazy — and you also happen to miss taking baths with a rubber ducky. These two desires seemed world’s apart ... until now! Also, you can take tea leaves out of your tea cup without a spoon by just picking up the duck.

How it works: Remove the toy duck from the actual infuser, put your tea leaves in, and put the duck back on. Then let the ducky float to your heart’s content in your cup of hot water.

The bottom line: Store manager Elizabeth Brinkama says tea-time can be "very estate. You’re sipping tea, you’re watching your British stories," but the addition of a rubber ducky brings "that little sense of whimsy."

One shopper picked up the tea infuser and exclaimed, "I love it."

"Not for myself though. I’d give it as a gift," she said. "I guess it’s good if you want to sit and watch your tea for awhile."
