It took a few hours and many cans of paint, but one Crystal City street got tattooed Sunday. New York-based artist Steed Taylor and a handful of volunteers drafted and painted "The Labor Line" tattoo painting onto South 18th Street between South Bell Street and Crystal Drive.

The title is meant to signify the thousands of people that come to work in Crystal City every day, according to Crystal City Business Improvement District President Angela Fox. Taylor, who did a similar project in D.C. says the tattoo will last as long as three years, depending on weather and traffic conditions.

Noticed the "artwork" this morning. I don't like tattoos on people, why would I like them on a street?
