The Georgia Avenue storefront in Silver Spring vacated by ArtSpring in September will soon house an AT&T store.

Construction to accommodate AT&T will begin Thursday in the retail space at 8519 Georgia Ave, says Jennifer Nettles of property management company Peterson Cos.

ArtSpring left the Georgia Avenue storefront in September because another retailer was interested in leasing the space. The store, which supports nonprofit Pyramid Atlantic, has been receiving discounted leasing rates from Peterson Cos.

The arts store opened Oct. 16 in the space formerly occupied by Moto Photo at 821 Wayne Ave. ArtSpring has moved all around Downtown Silver Spring, but this most recent move will hopefully but the store's last; they've been promised permanent space in the new Silver Spring Library.
