Adding to Clarendon's seemingly ever-growing list of dining options, Circa in Clarendon opens to the public this evening, and will have dinner and bar service all this week.

The restaurant greeted many in the neighborhood with a by-invitation-only party and "mock service" Saturday night, and the place was packed to the gills with folks tasting, sipping, and catching some of the evening's football games on the bar's large TVs, from the looks of it.

The self-proclaimed American bistro features a massive wall of wine, including 20 selections by the glass, and a menu including petite filet mignon sliders, portobello mushroom "flan" as appetizers, among others, and entrees including chipotle "jumbalaya" penne pasta, southern fried chicken, and braised boneless short ribs, to name a few.

The restaurant will eventually also serve lunch daily, and brunch on Sundays, and the bar will have a "late night menu" of some appetizer selections and pizzas for bar customers. There will also be a large patio seating area in front of the restaurant come spring, according to staff.
