Union Station Metro elevators to be out for 12 weeks

The elevators at the Union Station Metro will be out of service for 12 weeks starting Tuesday, Aug. 31, as they undergo a "modernization" process. Metro says they will be operating shuttle buses upon request from the Judiciary Square and New York Avenue stops to Union Station. The elevator work is part of the larger, $177 million Red Line rehab project.
