D.C. Fire reports that a fire truck collided with a Metrobus while responding to a report of a pedestrian being struck by an auto at 14th Street and Madison Street NW, in the Brightwood neighborhood of D.C.
The pedestrian was a woman who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Due to the number of people on the bus, the D.C. fire department put in a "mass casualty" request but none of the injuries appear critical. Those who were hurt include four firefighters, about a dozen bus passengers, and the Metrobus driver.
The fire truck was headed to the scene with lights and sirens on when the crash occurred.
