The North's punishment? They get a Capital Bikeshare station.

DDOT installed the CaBi station (above) on a traffic triangle at the northeast corner of the park yesterday, over the objections of advisory neighborhood commissioner Nicholas Alberti, who represents his neighbors on the north side. Alberti said the agency only considered the northeast location after residents of the southeast corner complained about the prospect of the station being placed on their side.

This would seem to conclude a rather long and bizarre affair. Except for one small fact: These stations are not permanently installed -- they are indeed movable. So don't be surprised if there's another chapter in this skirmish.
