DDOT's a step ahead of On Foot, makes Lincoln Park crosswalks much more visible

Last week we mostly praised the new speed tables that double as crosswalks at Lincoln Park, though we did voice our concern that you could hardly see them.
But this weekend we were walking past the park when we spotted a work crew jazzing them up. The end result (photo above) is a crosswalk on steroids.
From what we could see, speeding cars definitely got the message to slow down as they approached the tables -- in no small part because of all the prominent signage -- and pedestrians looked pretty confident stepping out onto them.
They've made a very inviting park all the more inviting. It'd be nice to see some more of these table/crosswalks around town.
