Terry Bellamy, currently DDOT's deputy director of operations, has been asked to helm the agency following former director Gabe Klein's exit last week.

Bellamy came to DDOT in 2008, following eight years in Arlington's transportation department.

Bellamy's message to his staff is after the jump.

Message from Terry Bellamy:
Dear DDOT Staff,

As many of you have probably already heard, I have been asked to serve as the Interim Director of DDOT until a permanent Director is appointed by Mayor Gray. I don’t know how long I will serve in this capacity, but regardless please continue doing what you’re doing, keep working on all the projects and programs that make DDOT shine.

When I know more about who will lead the agency moving forward, I will share that information with you. In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me, my assistant Felicia Banks, or our Chief of Staff Jeffrey Powell.
